Each record is a claim that passages conflict — recorded so it can be examined, not endorsed. Records carry propositions, an editorial classification, and, where reviewed, a formal analysis and the premises any harmonisation must supply.

Genesis says it repented the LORD that he had made man; 1 Samuel 15:11 has the LORD saying "It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king". Numbers 23:19 and 1 Samuel 15:29 state that God is not a man that he should repent — and 15:29 stands in the same chapter as 15:11.
Several passages report human beings seeing God: Jacob at Peniel, the elders of Israel on the mountain, and Moses speaking with the LORD face to face. Other passages state that no one has seen God, or can see God and live — including one that stands only three verses after "face to face" in the same chapter of Exodus.
Exodus 6:3 states that God appeared to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty, but was not known to them by his name YHWH. Passages in Genesis nevertheless use that name in the patriarchal narratives, including on the lips of the LORD speaking to Abraham and in a place-name Abraham gives.
Matthew 5:17-19 records Jesus saying he came not to destroy the law but to fulfil it, and that not one jot or tittle shall pass from the law. Ephesians 2:15 speaks of the law of commandments contained in ordinances being abolished in his flesh.
Acts 9:7 says the men who journeyed with Paul stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one. Acts 22:9 says they saw the light and were afraid, but did not hear the voice of him who spoke. Both statements appear in the same book.
Romans 3:28 concludes that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. James 2:24 states that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. The two sentences use the same three key terms and reach opposite-sounding conclusions.
